Which is a very late baptism - so was the Father still alive then?

I feel so stupid...Joseph Bentley was born in Elland in 1847 but his father was called Anby? born c1823. Anby's father was called Joseph born in Almondbury as far as I can ascertain. So sorry for supplying wrong information before......I feel like there are Josephs everywhere I look!
