Richard and Martha were married on the 28 Sept. 1834 in St.Paneras (old) church London.
Richard (tinsmith)and family, left England for Melbourne Australia around 1845,then to Greymouth New Zealand.
Their son Samuel William Mallett, dob 1839 London,1st wife Sarah Sheldrick,dod 1866 Melbourne,had a daughter Emma, dob 30 July 1865.
After Sarahs death,he then married Katherine Mary Higgins,in Melbourne.
He was a baker.
They had a son and two daughters.
The two families settled in Greymouth NZ.

I see that the daughter's name was Catherine Mary and not the mothers.

1873/31979   Mallett    Catherine Mary    Mary/Samuel

The daughter Mary Ann was an Artist and is listed in Una Platts book on NZ Artists.

"MALLETT, Mary Ann b.1870
Born in Greymouth, daughter of Samuel William Mallett. Exhibited in Christchurch 1906."
