Marriage details

George Shepherd 1801-1833 Almondsbury. Married Sarah Adams in 1821 Almondsbury.

Have searched ancestry/familysearch but can find no details of this marriage, would be a bonus to find who George's father would be.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to be thick, but if you have not found the marriage how do you know he married Sarah Adams in 1821 in Almonsbury?
And, Parish registers rarely if ever show fathers names.

I am confused also.

George SHEPHERD Buried 26 October 1833,   Almondsbury, St Mary, was age 36, Birth c 1797

Several Children on F/S including Hester 1831 Almondsbury.
Some have Loveless and Adams as second names.

1841 it appears Hester age 10 and Sarah Shepherd age 15 are with the Always in Elberton;
Thomas Alway    45, Farmer
Sarah Alway    40
Sarah Shepherd    15
Hester Shepherd 11
Ann Carpenter    15

1851 Thomas Alway is alone in Almondsbury (except 2 Servants)

Cant find a Marriage for Thomas to Sarah (is she Sarah who married George Shepherd)
Cant find a Sarah Christened to George/Sarah Shepherd.

1851 there is a Hester Ann Shepherd, no age given, image is scrawled through on age, with James/Anne ADAMS in Almondsbury. Down as Neice.
Is this why you think Sarah is nee Adams?

George SHEPHERD married Sarah ADAMS on 20 Oct 1821 at Almonsbury. They were both of the parish and married by licence. (Bristol & Avon FHS - Bristol Diocese Marriages 1813 - 1837) probably that is all the information you will get, not sure if any copies of licences exist, others on this forum may well know that.

Looks to me that Hester Ann may be 3 in 1851 Census;

Not that any of this helps with finding a Marriage!

For some reason this had not appeared when I posted the info on the James Adams/Ann Hewett Marriage. Maybe as they were a couple of seconds apart!
