Hugh Carver, born 1791 in Ballynahinch C D Ireland
« on: Thursday 27 February 14 19:03 GMT (UK) »
A previous post (in RootsChat?) has indicated the birth of my great great great grandfather, Hugh Carver, as:
"born in 1791 Ballynahinch C D Ireland"

Would anyone have additional information as to whether this is the Ballynahinch that is in County Down?

Can anyone assist?

Martin Carver

Hi,
There are about ten areas throughout Ireland called Ballynahinch. However the "C D" may refer to the area in County Down.

Regards
Stewart, Irwin, Morrison, Haslett, Murrell - Dungiven area Co. Londonderry
Browne, Barrett -Co.Armagh
Neil, Smyth _Co. Antrim
