Scotlands People has the death of a Henry Cooper, Calton in 1900. age a bit out - 54

Also, the death of a Jane Cooper (other name Ewing), Rutherglen, 1897, aged 50

I see from birth records of children on Family search that Jane's maiden name was Ewan/Ewing.
