Hi,
I found the birth of Ann Livingstone Miller on the Family Search website     https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/FQ75-MD9
You would be best to verify this on the pay to view site Scotlands People.

I am now searching for the details of Margaret MItchell who married JOhn Miller. They were the parents of Andrew & Walter Miller who were staying with Ann and William Stewart in 1841

Hi again robertlan,
What did you find to link both Andrew and Walter Miller to parents Margaret Mitchell and John Miller?
Was it death certificates?
If so was John Miller's occupation recorded?
Looby :)

I found it on the Scotlands people website. I simply looked for all the Andrew & Walter Stewarts with the same parents and their ages matched the ones given in the 1841 census when they were staying with William & Ann

Hi again robertlan,

But were these Old Parish Records of the births of Andrew and Walter or was it their death Certificates you looked at?
Do we know if Walter married? If he did after 1855 we might find out from that certificate if his mother Margaret was dead at the time of his marriage. I suspect she was, in fact there is a good chance she was already gone by 1841 when the boys are recorded as living with Ann and her family.

Looby :)

I found the birth details of Andrew & Walter by searching through birth records. I think you may be correct about their mother already being dead by 1841.
