Joseph again

I've tried to find Joseph Elks before but seem to have no luck...I'm posting again in the hope someone out there may be able to help.

All I know is Joseph Elks married Sarah Plumb in Radford Nottingham in 1825 they had a daughter Harriot elks born also in 1825, Lenton Nottingham.

I believe joseph died before the 1841 census

I have a feeling he may have not been born in Nottingham....Sarah his wife is buried in Nottingham but  Joseph seems to have disappeared.
Any help would be great

There was a Paul Elks in 1841 census nottingham who was born 1801 (but again I don't know where born) who may have been related to Joseph..a brother perhaps?

Paul ELKS Christened 4 Sept 1796, Alton, Staffordshire
Parents THOMAS/MARY
Married Mary HALL, 1 June 1818, Kingsley,Stafford

there are Elks in Staffs including;
JOSEPH Elks Christened 3  Jan 1802, Alton, Staffs to CHARLES/ELIZABETH

Thanks Trish..that does seem a possibility...I know there was a Mary Elks in the 1841 census so that could be Paul's wife. I think she died in 1842 Nottingham.

A Paul and Mary Elks are together in Sneinton in 1841.
But there is a Paul in Alton in 1841 also born c 1797 with a Wife Catherine nee SMITH Married 1831 (F/S.Org)
So a Few Pauls around!

it is Paul and Mary Elks  in Sneinton who I believe are related because Sarah and Harriot lived in Sneinton

Joseph and Sarah's marriage is the only entry  for Elks

  It's like Joseph didn't exist, then he pops up to get married and then disappears again
