Tracing Pearson Family Tree
« on: Sunday 02 September 12 20:33 BST (UK) »
I am researching my father`s family tree of the Pearson family in Norfolk. I have researched my great grandfather George Ramm Pearson and his father William Pearson born in Holt about 1821 but am stuck in finding out about his father. I know it is James Pearson, married to Charlotte Ramm (she was born in Binham I think) My father thinks he was a shoemaker in Holt, Norfolk, but have got to a dead end. Any offers??

The 1851 says he was born in North Barningham which is also known as Barningham Norwood. This is less than 5 miles from Holt and I would look in this area first. There are likely to be several James Pearsons born in Norfolk at about the same time so you would need to  look at the parish registers in this area. The baptism in Welney is far away and not necessarily the right one.

Familysearch has a James Pearson born to John Pearson and Mary Money 11 Dec 1789 and baptised 13 Dec 1789 in Barningham Norwood

If you look at the register you will see he has a twin sister Ann
