im looking for myggf Frank McCaffry he was born in Canada but both his parents come from Ireland. I don't have either of their names but frank died in 1916 in john day Oregon.  any help would be appreciated.

You'll need a lot more details from U.S. and Canadian records before you can even start trying to find an Irish connection.

When and where was Frank born? birth certificate should list parents' names.
Death certificate might also list their names, Frank's birthdate and place.
Census records- both U.S. and Canada should show details about him and family.

If this is him in 1910 census then it says mother was born in Ireland but father in Canada-
