Wow, thanks, Trish and Ciderdrinker! This will take me some time to absorb and get into my pedigree. I didn't know about FreeREG...looking forward to exploring more.

A David Brooks  is visiting.
HO107/2395/445/14
She is down Mary Hackwood  born 1840, Portsbelle, Staffordshire

Marriage;

Good luck with it all, FreeREG is easy to use after some practice :)

Looking for Josiah Hackwood he is easy to find ;
1851 under Josiah T
1871 under Tosia F
1881 under Josiah F

Now could this be his Christening on Anc?
Josiah Ferdinand HACKWOOD, 24 June 1823, Burntwood, Staffordshire
Mother Jane ACKWOOD

Looks likely to me. He must have lied on his Marriage Cert with Fathers name ;)

Trish and Dan and Ciderdrinker,
Thanks for this information. I have had some stumbling blocks researching the Hackwoods.

Cheers.

Thanks Trish.
I am downline from the Hackwoods who emigrated to Queensland and settled in Warwick.
