Thanks - the Iron work make sense.

Where is the best places to search census records before purchasing Sp records. Spending a fortune buying wrong records.

Thanks

Hi
I use the transcriptions on Ancestry for the censuses up to 1901.If you can find the transcription there it makes it easier to get the correct record on SP. Freecen has transcriptions for some years and is very good (for Scottish counties it tends to be the earlier censuses which have been transcribed). Family Search is always worth looking at for births and marriages.

It is so frustrating to use credits for the wrong records on SP. Been there too!
