William Todd B abt 1794 Ashwell Rutland.  Married to Hannah Penniston 1835 saxby Leics.  Can anyone please help with possible baptism as Ashwell church Records start in 1813.

My transcribed records show the following baptism:

5 Mar 1794, William Todd, S/O George/Mary,  Ashwell.


There are also two other children to George and Mary that may be of interest to you:

16 Mar 1798, John Todd, S/O George/Mary,  Ashwell.

10 Dec 1799, George Todd, S/O George/Mary,  Ashwell.


I have also come across a marriage of a George Todd & Mary in Ashwell as follows:

26 Jul 1793, George Todd, OTP,  Mary Wilbourne, Brides parish-Mkt Overton, Banns,  Ashwell.

Hello Jadzia, Thanks for response.  I think i have found the grandfather of William.  George, his father, was baptised in Cottesmore 22 March 1769, also siblins Ann, William, Joseph, Thomas and Hannah.  George was married to Elizabeth ?  (assuming i have correct parents).

Hi Julie,

That was the only George Todd baptism I came up with as well. It shows his parents as John & Elizabeth...marriage details below:
29 Nov 1768,  John Todd, OTP,  Elizabeth Ormond, OTP, Banns, Cottesmore.

As well as George’s siblings you mention (in my records) there is:
5 May 1771, John Todd, S/O John/Elizabeth, Cottesmore.
30 Jul 1775, Mary Todd, D/O John/Elizabeth, Cottesmore.
