Hi. 

I wonder if anyone knows what and where the oldest cemeteries are in County Carlow,also if possible I would like to know how far they date back to,and wheather they are still in use.

Thanks for your response to my query,this is a site I have looked at before but I have not found what I am looking for,I am looking for a James Crowe who died in 1798 so far I have had no luck.

:)   hi Diarmuid       There are many 1798 burials in St Mullins graveyard, at least two near the Penal Altar.  There is a Heritage Centre there which is run by volunteers,  they might have names.  According to their website they welcome genealogy queries    (dont know if they charge)    www.stmullinsheritagecentre.com       worth a try.           conahy

hi again Diarmuid,  there is a "Croppy Grave" in town park, Carlow.  This is situated on the Graiguecullen side of the town. hi Diarmuid    there are some Co Carlow graveyards in     www.from-ireland.net/free        It seems to be a work in progress, according to its blog.  conahy

James CROWE of Killane, son of James CROW and Eliza Cummins of Killane. .  The reference came up under title of "CLOWRY + CROWE  question"      try googling that.  I have tried to put in relevant link but cant get it to work.
