Not sure if it is of use to your research but I was told many years ago that the name Archbold was originally Aspel in south county Wexford.The name Aspel is still used in that part. So if your ancestors came from the south of the county  before they went to the northern end check out Aspel. Hope this makes sense.

Yes thank you for that I found out the hard way. Been looking for my g-grandmother for 6-7 years till I went sideways and look at Aspel. They she was born 1866 in Ballintim Catherine Aspel born to Oliver Aspel and Maria Murphy. Any reason  why the change the surname was change

Little bit more with my Archbold's living around Camolin, found a birth of a Mary Aspol to Ollifer Aspol and Mary Murphy in 1868  It is a good job they can not miss spell Mary Murphy. I find it hard to believe there is no books or films that I can order that cover's BDM in Camolin Ballintim area around  1790- 1860.
 Any suggestions

Just to let you know that Craanford/Monaseed  and Camolin /Ballyoughter  parishes were united till 1845 so their records are combined prior till then. Baptisms 1815 -1832 and then 1844-1871 Marriages 1815-1868 and then 1871-1880.

Looking at the new online films for Camolin and Ballyoughter bapt; there is a gap from 1832 till 1844 it is saying these records are in the old book at Craanford which is not online  is it out there some where if not were do I next look.---Looking at Ballintim

Here lyth ye body of Pierce Archbold who deceased April ye 5th 1763 aged 45 years .

Archbold
Broken Table. To be read Erected in memory of John Archbold of Ballinree who died 1st Nov 1849 aged 70 years. His wife Mary Archbold died 9th April 1878 aged 84 years. His son James died 22nd Jun 1846 aged 18 years. His daughter Mary died 25th April 1859 aged 19 years. His son Robert died 8th Oct 1896 aged 74 years also his son John Archbold died 7th Jan 1904 aged 64 years. Also his son Peter died 1st June 1910 aged 79 years.

Doyle.
Erected by David Doyle of Knockbrandon in memory of his wife Anastisia Doyle alias Archbold who died Oct 5 1843 aged 20 years. Also her son James who died young.
May they rest in peace amen.

Erected by John Archbold of Toom in memory of his father Robert Archbold who depd the 2nd March 1807 agd 58 years. Also his mother Anastatia Archbold depd the 29th Sep 1830 aged 85 yrs. Also his son James Archbold who depd this life the 27th Aprol 1840 aged 18 yrs. Also the above John Archbold who depd this life……………..aged 70 yrs.  …………..Archbold who died………………….
