Seems like a bit of inter-marrying here

Hi, I have a Margaret Watson aged 16 Domestic Servant birthplace Boyndie listed on my Gordon familys' 1861 Census. That would make Margaret born c.1845. My family lived in MacDuff and Banff,Boyndie is only a few kilometres away. Just thought I would say, don't know if there would be any connection but it's an idea if you 'lose' her in the census lookups.

'Far Away' thank you for the info. Am fairly sure there must be a family link between us somewhere!
I know of at least 1 occassion where Watson cousins married. They were my Grandfathers cousin, George Watson's parents. My grandfather was Innes McKay b1919, his cousin George Watson b~1924. Both in Macduff.
My Grandma, who is 93 & still going strong tells me other Watson cousins also married!!
Regards,
Jason
