The 1911 census return, completed to reflect the situation on 2 April of that year, clearly shows Charlotte as 11 months old. Andrew and Jane Lindsay are shown as married 1 year, with 1 living child.

In the event however, Andrew Lindsay and Jane McCaw got married just over 4 months earlier than the census, on 11 November 1910 in Donaghadee Presbyterian Church.

Turning therefore to the possibility of a McCaw birth, GRONI online has one registered in Newtownards for a girl called Margaret McCaw, born on 14 April 1910 (a perfect fit for the age of 'Charlotte' in the census) to mother Jane McCaw, father's details not captured.  All these circumstances suggest the possibility that Margaret McCaw may be one and the same person as Charlotte Lindsay in the 1911 census. I see from the 1901 census that Andrew's sister was called Charlotte, perhaps Jane McCaw named her child Margaret, then once Andrew and her got married, they decided to lend the child the Lindsay family forename of Charlotte.

Unfortunately the father's details aren't captured, ie. suggesting out of wedlock.  However, the subsequent lending of Charlotte as a forename (if that indeed is what has happened here) would swing towards Andrew Lindsay being the father.
