Inishmurray Island

Hi, can anyone help?  Was Inishmurray Island a parish in its own right or was it part of a mainland parish in Sligo?

According to a Griffiths Valuation records, it was in Ahamlish civil parish.  More here

I just realised that I omitted 'in' which makes a big difference to the meaning! Beg your pardon

Heywood, many thanks for this, I've found a baptism but just mentions the parish but no specific reference to the island.
