Hi
Are your dates for the children of John and Mary correct here?   Ranging from 1855 to 1891?  Mary, if born 1834, would have been 57 when Elizabeth was born.  Have you used www.freebmd.org.uk to confirm all these birth dates or are they from census records?

Hi:

This is not my family or my location but perhaps I can help with some information from the Hubberholme records on the Ellison family:

John Ellison born c 1829 Barbon Westmorland married Mary Parker Dec qtr 1851 at Settle (from free BMD Records)

Mary Parker was bap at Hubberholme June 23rd 1833 dau of John Parker (deceased) and Jane.
They lived at New House.
Another child was Alice Parker bap at Hubberholme Sept 14th 1829.

Richard Ellison, son of John and Mary, was bap at Hubberholme August 12th 1860 and the family were said to be of Deepdale.

Their other children were not baptised at Hubberholme so were most likely bap at Ingleton..

Sorry it's so little but there is not much information on the Ellison family in these local records.
It would seem that they were just passing thru.
Percival, Hird, Heseltine, Wilson,  Horn(e), Thwaite, Storey, Iveson, Metcalfe, Dinsdale and Sunter and the farms and families of Bishopdale.
