Hi Jacih

The retired coastguard office, John Harris, from Flushing is my great great grandmother on my mother's side and she used to talk of them living in Ireland overlooking the mountains of Morne. I a descended from his second daughter, Annie, who married a William Henry Warren. I have other info and wondered if you have any more please?

Steve

The father of my Laura Harris was William Henry Harris who was born in Plymouth in 1833.
His father may have been John Harris.
William Henry was posted to Skibereen, County Cork and married Mary Rile, the daughter of another coastguard, and then was transferred to County Galway. He died there in 1888.
I do not think that he would have served near the Mountains of Mourne, which are in County Down.
