Dear Cinders,

Thank-you very much for your interest in my search and your prompt response.

All I have, to date, is the following about my G/GG-GrandparentS.

Richard Henry EDMONDS [birth date unknown; possibly a Protestant]
married in Wexford??
Catherine FURLONG [born 5 April 1893 in Wexford Town R/C],
daughter of James FURLONG and Margaret SCALLAN.
[James and Margaret may have been married in Wexford in 1790.]

Children of Richard Henry EDMONDS and Catherine FURLONG possibly included -

William [H] EDMONDS b 9 August 1829, Wexford.  He went to USA in the early 1850s.  I have made contact with his descendants but cannot get his Birth Certificate.  He may have been a cousin!

George Gilbert EDMONDS, my Great Grandfather, born between 1825 and 1833.  He came to Australia [in the mid 1850s].
George Gilbert EDMONDS married in Sydney Australia in May 1857.  He died in Brisbane in 1906 and is buried close to my residence, in South Brisbane Cemetery.  Neither, his Marriage nor his Death Certificate are helpful.

The other siblings may also have gone to USA.

Any assistance you can provide will be extremely appreciated.

Sincerely

Bruce EDMONDS

Good morning

I am still attempting to follow up on my EDMONDS / FURLONG forebears.

Was there an electoral roll covering Rathespick / Johnstown  about 1837?
OR
earlier than 1855?

Any assistance you can provide will be appreciated.

Hi im new on rootschat searching my family tree. KENNY/MARSHAL/EDMONDS/BARR
my great great grandmother was mary edmonds born 1854/1856 in wexford. Her father was Thomas Edmonds listed as a farmer on her marriage cert (1871) as a farmer in Wexford. They were Church of Ireland.  I dont know if this of any use. I have run dry on my KENNY lineage hoping to research my Edmonds side now.
