There is a burial in Wansford for a Richard Lee in 1827 bn c1762, is this who you are looking for  :-\

There is only one other 'Lee' burial showing in Wansford on the free index on findmypast and that is for an Elizabeth born c1764  buried 1820, it is extremely likely she was his wife    ;)

If Richard Lee and Elizabeth Unknown were in their late fifties when she died, presumably they would have had some children.  ??

I know he had 4 more children with Ann Cowham before he died, all born in Wansford.

Frances 1821
Sarah 1823
Mary Ann 1825
Richard 1826

I've come across another family tree that has the parents of Richard Lee as:

Richard Lee (1702) and Susanna Peers (1703-1806)

Also their marriage in Wansford on December 24th 1723.

Does anyone have any evidence of this?

What are the chances of a 59 year old Susannah giving birth in 1762? It looks to me as if there's a missing generation, if indeed it's the same family.

Have you looked at Wansford parish register microfilm?

It's a fair point regarding the unlikelihood of Susannah giving birth at 59.

I don't have access to the Wansford parish register microfilm.

Hi.

There is very little coverage of Wansford P.R. held at the N.R.O.

Baps 1808-1812, Marr 1807-2009, Burs 1808-1812

They may hold B.T's though.

I have an index of Thornhaugh baps which have some in Wansford noted in them,
nothing for the surname Lee though.
