Falmouth burials
« on: Wednesday 30 October 13 12:00 GMT (UK) »
Hi,
I have been using the fantastic burial resource put on-line by Falmouth Council but a lot of my relatives died pre 1857. Does anyone know where people were buried before that? I know Charles Church had a burial ground but hasn't now so where did the people go from there?
Any help would be much appreciated

Cornwall-OPC-database has Falmouth burials 1813-1831.

Have you tried Budock parish?

A lot of my relatives fall in between the 1830's and 1860's so I wonder not only where they were buried but where the records of those burials are held. I am thinking Truro Records Office is my only bet but I cannot get there.

the opc database has burials up to 1846 and Falmouth Cemetery 1854 - 1860. You could try contacting the opc, link is on the parish page, as she may have more records that haven't been transcribed yet. It's the same person for both parishes.

If your folks resided in what became the Penwerris Parish of Falmouth, the probability is that they would have been buried at Budock
