Well done Sue!

I always find it appealing when the parents are Joseph and Mary, for some reason!  ;D

Bev

I am researching my tree and think we share the same 3 times great grandfather.

From what I can see William Newton Dimmock & Anne Roberts had 6 children - Elizabeth, William (my 2 x great grandfather), Rebecca, John, Barnard (or Bernard or Barnett, your 2 x great grandfather) & Thomas.

Next generation down for me - William Dimmock married Emily Curd in 1858, they had 10 children including my great grandfather William Joseph - he married Fanny Clarke.

William Joseph & Fanny had 8 children including my grandmother Lucy, this is where the Dimmock line ended and the White's started.

If I am correct in my research it would be great to exchange notes.

I too have a few certificates.

Richard

Hi Bev and Richard,

I haven't used this site for some time but just saw this thread. Barnard Dimmock (d 1896) was also my 2nd great grandfather.
I have been researching the tree for some time now. Do any of your relatives have the name Barnard as first or middle name?
If you get in touch I may be able to help with queries.

Regards

David

David

In my tree I have a Barnard Dimmock (1835-1896) son of William Newton Dimmock & Anne Roberts. This Barnard would be my 2nd gt grand uncle as he was brother to William Dimmock (1830-1878) my 2nd gt grand father.
Does this fit with your research?

Rgds
Richard

Hi, I am pondering on the chance we could be related.
In 1816, my 4th great grandparents married in London, Isaac Seggins (b.1795 in Ringland, Norfolk) married Eleanor Dimmock, they had all their children in Weston Underwood however Eleanor died before 1841, so getting any information on her is impossible, I can't even find her death, but it has been strongly suggested to me that her place of birth was somewhere in Buckinghamshire.
Isaac moved after 1851 with one of his daughters, Martha, to Australia and that is where he died in 1878.
