I found that a previous discussion involving CarolW, hscherry and tassie caught my eye.

England (Counties as in 1851-1901) => Buckinghamshire => Topic started by: hscherry on Wednesday 27 May 09 23:06 BST (UK)

I believe I have tracked the Benjamin Rich in the discussion to Australia on the ship Marion in 1851.

If anyone has any information that contradicts or reinforces this I'd be greatful.

This Benjamin appears to have been my Great Great Grandfather. He settled in South Australia. He married a German woman. If information about this line is useful please send a comment.

William Rich and Rebecca Bates are in my Family Tree...
so I am interested in any information on those Richs etc.,
I was wondering what happened to their son Benjamin Rich...
...on the 1841 UK Census his name is shown as Bejamin Rich

It would appear that Benjamin and his sister Caroline both ended up in Australia and his sister Ellenor ended up in New Zealand.

Their relatives are alive and well down under.

I have quite a bit of information about Benjamin and Caroline that you are welcome to.
