George Henry WEBB Feb 24th 1834
« on: Wednesday 13 August 14 02:39 BST (UK) »
One of my relatives has a family bible inscribed with "George Henry WEBB Feb 24th 1834". I know that bibles were often used to record BMDs, but that's the only thing written in it.

We have WEBB ancestors (from Herefordshire), but I haven't come across a George Henry, and I have no idea what the date signifies - it might just be the date he bought it.

Maybe someone will recognise the name and the significance of the date.

By the way, it was a Tuesday (http://www.calculatorcat.com/free_calculators/day_of_week.phtml).

Hi Ferret999, are there any other names in the bible or is that the only one?

John

It's frustrating, but that is the only name. Nothing else at all.
