If I'm reading Margaret's post correctly, William bap 1771 appears to have married a Sarah, not Mary as Clare stated. Obviously this affects the marriage! In 1794 in Sawtrey St Andrew a William Sharp married Sarah Laddimore, both otp

Posts are much less confusing if everyone adopts the centuries old practice of starting proper names and sentences with a capital letter!  Remember that Margaret has given you raw data from Yaxley parish register. It's up to you to interpret it.

The burials that she lists are straightforward, so shouldn't be confusing..

The problem comes with the baptisms. You say William married a Mary. What's your evidence for this, which is at variance with the baptisms which Margaret listed where the parish register lists William's wife as Sarah? You now say that William was born at Sawtrey in 1795 which fits with the 1794 marriage in Sawtrey between William and Sarah that I found.

I think you're wrong when you say that William married a Mary.

David
