i dont think so for me my elizabeth mclintock was born in 1862 her father & mother was william mclintock & agnes mclintock m.s bruce they got married in 31/01/1861 mark parish of inch. elizabeth mclintock married my gggrandfather joseph brown on the 14/04/1882 in maybole
joseph brown born 1854/55
joseph brown married 14/04/1882
joseph brown died 13/02/1893 age 39

elizabeth mclintock born 11/11/1862
elizabeth mclintock married 14/04/1882 age 19
elizabeth mclintock died

when joseph died elizabeth was age 29
when she married peter mcpherson she was age 28
it is the same elizabeth she just keeps changing her age all the time i think because when she married peter peter was only 21 and she was also down as a spinster to when she married peter but she was a widow

i am a brown and i am still looking for anything at all on the family
brown
mclintock
caskie
for mclintock and mccaskie i have different spelling for there names
brown family mcclinton (and variants), mcfarlane, buchanan, murray, caskie(and variants) hay family. mcpherson family.mckenzie.whiteside.nichol

william, sorry to hear that you are disappointed with the search results so far, did you notice that i found your agnes with her parents on the 1861 census?

i only have access to the earlier censuses so i could not help you out with later ones. maybe a visit to the scotlandspeople website would answer a few unanswered questions for you.

in the meantime i wonder if this is your agnes?

agnes bruce born 1st november 1840 dreghorn
father michael bruce, mother mary porter

michael married mary porter 29th may 1841 symington

1851 census; drumflower, old luce, wigtownshire

michael...head...age 38...ag labourer...born kirkmaiden
mary...wife...age 32...born symington
agnes...dau...age 10...born symington
john...son...age 7...born symington
joseph...son...age 5...born old luce
william...son...age 3...born old luce

will go and see if i can find your william mcclenton

I have identified WILLIAM McLINTOCK and AGNES BRUCE as my GREAT GRANDPARENTS. This I ACHEIVE AFTER SOME INVESTIGATION AS ALL I COULD  FIND AT ONE TIME THAT MY GRANDFATHER WILLIAM MARRIED MY GRANDMOTHER SARAH IN1887 IN GLASGOW AND HE WAS A WIDOWER AT THAT TIME  AND CANNOT FIND ANYTHING ABOUT HIS PREVIOUS MARRIAGE,MY FATHER ALSO CALLED WILLIAM WAS BORN IN GLASGOW IN 1902. MY GRANDMOTHER DIED IN THE FLU EPIDEMIC OF 1918. RESULTING INQUIRIES SHOW THAT MY GRAND FATHER HAD THREE BROTHERS AND THEY ARE AS FOLLOW
THOMAS BORN 14/3/65
(WILLIAM BORN 14/4/67(went to CANADA IN 1926))
JOHN BORN 11/9/73
ANDREW BRACENBRIDGE BORN 7/8/78
THEY WERE ALL BORN IN MAYBOLE. I hope this will help you
