COA ? and cross identification
« on: Tuesday 25 February 14 15:05 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone assist?
2 questions regarding the image below:-
1.Does anyone know the official term for this type of cross? It looks like a hybrid of a cross-moline and a cross-fleury, but I don't know the correct name/term.
2. Does anyone recognise the Coat of Arms and can you share any knowledge you have of this?

Gemma, I have no idea of the answer to your question.

But if you ask a moderator to move it to "Heraldry Crests and Coats of Arms" board you are more likely to get an answer.

Just click on the report to Moderator button within 24 hours.

Assumimg you mean the cross on the right-hand side, looks like a cross fleury (or flory) - but could be cross patonce?

The cross in the first and fourth quarters of the left-hand side is a cross crosslet fitchy.

It is a cross patonce on the right-hand side.

Now I need to go away and consult the right book in the hope of finding some more information on the rest of the achievement.

It maybe just a fabricated design, and not an actual heraldic/coat of arms.

Can anyone identify the charge on the chevron in the first and fourth quarters on the other side?  It's a bit faint  :-\

Looks possibly like 3 couped erased heads?

It's a fuzzy image - but I reckon it might be erased eagle heads? ;D
