M I Look up request for Kelso Rosebank Cemetery

I am looking for someone who can check out a gravestone for me.I saw this gravestone .
It is in the middle section just as you walk in the gate.My aunt  showed me it but at that time I was not researching the family. I live in Australia now.

Archibald Pringle died 17th May 1890 Irvine Ayr 63 years old. [Hawker]

Margaret Rutherford his wife died 17th May 1907 Kelso 74 years old.

I need to know if I have been researching the correct Archibald. He was never home with his wife and family for any census and she was always Hawkers wife until 1891 when she was head of family.

I hope someone out there can send me all the names and dates on this headstone.

I looked in the Rosebank MI index book today, and the only Archibald PRINGLE is someone who died in 1982, husband of Euphemia.

Are you certain that it was Archibald's grave that your aunt showed you?

Thank you for looking up Archibald Pringle.Could I ask you to look up Margaret his wife.

I was home to Kelso last year and did look for this headstone again. It may have fallen and been removed.I remember it very well but I could not find it again .This was about 1977 that my aunt showed me it. She said it was the parents of my great grandfather Andrew Pringle. I have researched Margarets family and have got back to the early 1600's all in Kelso.One more generation back and I will be in the 1500's.

Do you have the burial index for Rosebank or know how I can  get details of family with no headstones.

I did read all the PRINGLE entries, but nothing leapt out as being Archibald's wife. I will have another look next time I'm in the library.

                 Thank you . Margaret Rutherford,Archibald Pringles wife may be buried in the same plot as her parents.Their names are James Rutherford and Margaret Innes .  This was a very big headstone  and I do remember had a lot written on it.

Do you know if they have a special corner in the cemetery  that they store fallen stones or would they get rid of them completely.

I am sure I have the right Archibald but matching his death certificate from Scotlands people with dates on that headstone and being buried with Margaret  would have been great.              Norma

I looked in the Rosebank MI book again today, and no, there is no mention of Margaret Rutherford or James Rutherford and Margaret Innes. Any stones with readable inscriptions will have been transcribed, whether in their original positions or not, if they still exist.

Funnily enough, I recently discovered - if my researches are correct - that I had Rutherford ancestors in Kelso. I've decided that I'm descended from Robert Cochrane and Christian Glairnet or Glarnet who were married in 1614, and she seems to have been the daughter of a James Glairnet and Meg Rutherford.

I have not researched the Rutherfords yet .James Rutherford married Margaret Innes

8th September 1830.  This is their family. All born at Kelso Roxburghshire Scotland
