« on: Sunday 09 December 12 21:59 GMT (UK) »
Hello, can anyone tell me the date of death of Mrs. Mary Duggan, Ardcavan in Castlebridge, just outside Wexford town, who turned 105 years in April 1997 and may have made 106. Many thanks.

May Duggan ne้ O'Leary was a  2nd cousin of mine. I am not sure of the date of death but will find out. She was in her 107th year when she passed away.

Thanks for that, I would be grateful if you could also find her exact birthdate so we could clarify if she was Ireland's oldest resident at the time.

Thanks again.

Sorry for the very long delay in answering your query re May Duggan . I have not got her birthdate but she passed away on the 5th of June 1998 three months after her 106th birthday . Best I can do thus far .

Interesting, there was a Dublin woman who turned 106 in February so I think May Duggan could have been the 2nd oldest in the country. Thanks for that.
