Goodness me! I never expected such a wealth of information!
Thank you so much Sandra and RunKitty. You have been so helpful. There's more than enough there to keep me busy all weekend and I am convinced your info and all the links will give me all the answers and sources I need.

Yet again, this forum has come up trumps! Brilliant as ever.

Kind regards
Suzie

Hallo Sandra,
Yes, had a great time and got it all sorted and down in my database. Am very pleased. The only things I can't pin down are the actual immigration dates for Thomas & Barbara - but it's honestly not important considering what else I have.

By the way, Thomas lied about his age at his marriage. He is stated as being 37 whereas he was actually only 32, a year younger than his bride so I guess he upped his age a bit to appear more responsible and respectable! Also, it must have been a rush marriage because Barbara's first husband died Oct-Dec 1918 in the UK, yet by Nov 1918 she was marrying Thomas in Canada!! Intriguing...

Re their immigration, one report states that Thomas and his daughter both attended Oregon Sate College and Thomas got a BSc in 1929 and before they went to Canada! That's odd considering he was already there in 1918. Can't find a birth for Sheyla either. But as I say, none of this is important.

Anyway...I am happy with what I have for my friend, thanks to you and others. I even found a photo of the church where he was ordained!

Kind regards
Suzie

Hallo Sandra!  My goodness...2014 is a long time ago!  Since then I've had two replacement hips in 2016 and two years later began caring for my friend who has dementia....and that's been hard! SO...family history has taken a back seat, I'm afraid.  However, thank you for the link. I can send that on to the friend I was doing this for.
Many thanks...you have a keen eye.
