My Great Grandfather, William Prince was born about 1868, I'm not clear on where he was born. He married Annie Merrick who was born in Sutton Cheney in 1869. Their first child was Alfred James Prince born 1890 at 196 Syston Street, Leicester. They were then living with William's sister Emma Jane and her husband Alfred Tidmarsh.
I can't find any of the family on the 1891 census.
The couple had several more children including my Grandmother Annie Elizabeth who was born in 1891 but William seems not to have been living with Annie in 1901  or 1911 although on one occasion he gives his address as Mere Road on his son, William's war records.' His other address was Poplar Row, Sutton Common, Kidderminster.
He also appears to have lived with another woman in Kidderminster, Leah Webb who was the informant for his death in 1932 giving her name as Leah Prince, Widow of deceased but somehow Annie discovered this and challenged it. Letters of Administration allowed Annie to inherit William's estate of a little over £85.00
This is a very complicated family as there appear to have been several bigamous marriages on various sides so William's 'disappearance is not really surprising. If anyone can track him down for me in any of the census records from 1891 onwards I'd be most grateful.

1891 census indicates that Alfred and Emma Tidmarsh came from Coventry and Birmingham. Maybe you may be able to find out some trace of your Princes if you look at Warwickshire.

Emma Prince married in 1882, so this can't be the family.
1891 has Emma Tidmarsh born 1863.

What is William's occupation on marriage and birth certificates please?

Wow! you lot are amazing! Willsy, I have tried to search for him on the military records on Ancestry and found nothing. I didn't expect him to be in the RAF but that is certainly my Great Grandfather. He stayed in Kidderminster and when he died was living as man and wife with Leah Webb, who gave her name as Leah Prince, Widow of deceased when recording the death in 1932. Annie found out and intervened (so the death certificate now bears an alteration) thus inheriting his estate in place of Leah. Thank you so much.
William was an electrician Heywood, Emma Tidmarsh was in some way linked to William. His father was William Prince who married Emma Conley according to the records but it seems that Emma was already married to a Mr Fletcher so she married bigamously. When his parents split up Emma lived with a man named Charles Cooke or Cork and they had 3-4 children together who all bore the name Prince on the census records but were maybe listed under Charles Cookes surname as i can't find their birth records.
Annie Elizabeth was born on 28th or 29th August 1891. (We never knew which so Gran always had two borthdays! lol)
Thanks so much everyone. Your help has been invaluable in my search.  :)
