great bits of info.
« on: Saturday 12 April 14 07:57 BST (UK) »
I am still on Argyles: plodding through............   :-\ ::)

However last night I had a great bit of info... and guess what !!!! it was from a .n.other TREE on ancestry.....
Dont worry I will check it..... I never copy 'willy nilly' always dump or verify the info found.

BUT

My Grandparents lived for many years on Gooding Ave, Leicester.
and last night when I was researching my Grandfathers  1st Cousin  James Robert Read Argyle born 1862 in Hinckley, I found that  It seems he was living in Gooding Ave, in 1936.. I know its a long road - but what a co-incidence.... And my grandfather, whose name was Robert Argyle Green, would probably never have known that he lived within walking distance of his cousin....
Strange how exciting these little snippets make all this.

 :D :D
crazy family history ..  TODAY no dead rellies, as live ones visiting  ;D ;D ;D

Certainly does. If he was your grandfather's first cousin though, they may well have known of each other. Perhaps that is even why they lived so close.

I found my grandparents and my father living next door but one to my grandmother's brother and his children in 1925. A few years ago I made contact with one of those children's daughters. Strange to think that our parents probably played together when young.
