Robert Elkins Houghton might have links with my Elkins family and the only reference I have been able to find is a probate document.
Please can anyone point me towards any further information on this elusive character

A Louisa Casson (sister) is mentioned on the probate document for Robert Elkins Houghton. This could be her marriage -

In 1861 there's a Louisa Casson, wife of Edward a medical officer at the Nowich County Asylum in Thorp by Norwich. She's born Portsea c1829. Suggests the Robert listed below is born Emsworth Hampshire, rather Huntingdonshire?

There's a death entry Sept 1861 for Edward Casson in Blofield district, which might account for Louisa being a widow in the probate calendar but the census doesn't account for her being of Epsom Surrey 4 months later.
