George Henry Dean in Luton
« on: Monday 01 December 14 15:19 GMT (UK) »
My maternal grandmother Agnes Elizabeth Bunyan (nee Tomkins) married George Henry Dean in 1952 (Luton, Beds). I'm trying to find out more information about his family. George died in 1956.
Any information gratefully received.

Death reg gives year of birth as approx 1906.  The GRO index gives at least 6 births around that time for a George Henry Dean, you really need the marriage certificate for fathers details then you can check the 1911 census

Rosie,

As far as I know, George was married prior to marrying my grandmother. I think there was at least one child, but it's hard work trying to verify that. My grandmother mentioned them running a pub in Cambridge at some point, although I have no details of it.

I think you're right, the marriage cert is going to be revealing.
