Commonloch - Auchinleck/Lugar District
« on: Wednesday 18 May 11 01:43 BST (UK) »
Hi

I'm wondering if anyone has any old photos of the Commonloch houses.

I've recently discovered that generations from both my husband's & my own family lived & some have died in Commonloch.  I know nothing of this place.  On death certificates I have Commonloch comes under Lugar but in the 1911 census it comes under Auchinleck.

Any information anyone has on this place would be most helpful.
Thanks
Liz

I would propose that the commonloch was Darnconner a mining village between Lugar and Auchinleck.
