Ayr High Street numbering anomaly
« on: Wednesday 09 July 14 14:45 BST (UK) »
Hi

Just wondering if anyone familiar with Ayr Highstreet could advise what happened to 107 and 109 High Street.

By googling the addresses of the stores and then looking on google maps the current numbering for stores is:

Burtons/Dorothy Perkins 101-103
Dress 4 Less 105
Julian Graves 111-113

The property I am interested to see what it looked like is 107-109 and it should be between D4L and Julian Graves but there is no space!  ???

Is there a "close"?  I remember my aunt a union rep for Ayr her office address was on the High St but the office was at the back of the shops through a close or entry.

addedum
Just had a wee look on google maps and Dress4less is a new build probably covering what was once an entry or close to 107-109 which could have been either behind or above the current shop.
