Can anyone help Please?
Looking for the resting place of my great Uncle; Fred Stonehouse b 16/10/1904 New Shildon Father Edwin Stonehouse, Mother Elizabeth d 1983 Darlington.

If you haven't already, you should find out his exact date of death as this will make their job easier as they have records for 3 cemeteries and a crematorium to look through. Also include his full name and last known address.

Thanks Dawn.
I do not have his date of death. My late mother told me he lived and died in Darlington but where i do not know. He is not on FreeBMD and i do not belong to any paying sites. When i get enough information i will email Darlington Council.

DBC have always been helpful to me in the past when I only had the quarter someone died not the date of death.  Drop them an email with the info you have.

I do not have any other information only what my Mum told me but will give it a go.

The death index shows his death was registered Jan/Feb/March 1983

If you want to apply for his death cert from the GRO the reference is

District: Darlington Volume:1 Page:1099

After a few months of digging i now have his date of death and address so will send an e-mail after  the Xmas/New year break.

Last night i sent an email to DBC and when i awoke this morning their reply was waiting for me.
I have found him and have a link to the Remembrance book.
