Help needed Thomas Henehan b. 1886
« on: Tuesday 01 March 11 17:43 GMT (UK) »
I have hit a brick wall in my search for Thomas P. Henehan's death record. His birth was registered in Fareham Hampshire in Oct-Dec 1886 but the family subsequently moved to Derby. He married in Derby in 1920 and his second child was born in April 1925. His family remained in Derby and his wife did marry again, I believe in 1950. The story is that Thomas died young in a railway accident. Before WW1 he worked for the Midland Railway but I have yet to confirm that he returned there after war service.
I just cannot find a record of his death, nor of any accident in which he was involved. I intend searching the Midland Railway records at Kew but if anyone can offer any other ideas on where to look, I'd be grateful.

Liz - Thank you so much. Of all the variations of spelling, I missed this one. I'm most grateful.

A very belated thank you Liz - this did turn out to be my Thomas Henehan, killed in an accident whilst working on the railway line.
