I've had no luck tracing Isabella after 1871.  EDIT: That should read 1861.

Yes I have looked for her death.

I should have said I can't find her after 1861 census.  All the other members of the family are accounted for in 1871 census. I have deaths for all her siblings and her mother Isabella.

I think it unlikely Isabella died in Scotland outside of Renfrewshire and Lanarkshire. Nevertheless I have 11 index entries for possible deaths all over Scotland and none seem to fit.

A possible one in Lanark is ruled out:

There is a marriage in 1866 of an Isabella Blakely to a James Johnston at Tradeston, Glasgow.

Where did Thomas, your direct line, end up in in England for some years? Always the possibility that Isabella also went off to England?

Marriage 7 Apr 1852 Paisley, son John born abt 1853 Paisley according to later census but reg not found, then my Thomas born abt 1854 Liverpool, again no reg found.

1861 94 New Headley St, Liverpool
1871 67 Westminster Rd, Toxteth Park

I have not proved or disproved it's my Thomas in Barrow In Furness in 1881, 1891 and 1901.

I have considered that Isabella may have gone to England. I think these match but I need a bit more to be sure:

It's not easy matching events because of variations with the names. If you follow a BLEAKLY family not all events are under that spelling.  If you followed my family with only BLACKLEY you would miss these two children:

That 1874 death in RD W Derby could be the wife of a George W Bleakley in W Derby in 1871.

I can't get a copy of every certificate.

There is another Isabella in Lancashire in 1871 census but that one born Cumberland.
