Sarah Elizabeth Walters

Sarah was born abt 1835/36 New Brunswick to parents Robert Walters and Hannah Hall. She died 4 Feb 1919 Highgate Ontario as Sarah Elizabeth Johnston. The only census that I can find is 1901 Elgin W where Sarah is shown as a widow living with daughter Katherine who was born 15 Nov 1880 Ont. The birth reg for Catherine shows father as John Johnston. The earliest child that I can find for them was Mary Alice born 17 Feb 1871 Kent Co. I can not find a marriage nor any info re John Johnston

This might be her in 1891 Sara Johnston born 1836 New Brunswick aged 55, son John b 1878 aged 13. daughter Catherine b 1880 aged 11 District Orford  Elgin West district states she is married

Sarah b1836 New Brunswick aged 45, Francis R Johnston 22, Sarah 17, Maggie 14, Mary 10 John 3,Catherine 5months still in the same district

If you don't have access to Ancestry there is a few records on Family search for this couple also the marriage for daughter Catherine

I have the familysearch info. OCFA shows a John Johnston and Sarah E Johnston buried in Trinity Anglican Morpeth. This is the same cemetery as Sarah Elizabeth's parents. I need to look at the microfilm and see what it shows. May get some leads. Can not understand why John does not show up somewhere

Just had a look at the original 1881 and John shows up as being born 1830 Ontario and working as a carpenter

Sarah is living with her son-in-law Robert J Lambert and family in the 1911 census.

This might be another daughter Elizabeth Johnston born 1857 a tree also has the same person with same parent's possible 1861 census John Johnston 31,house carpenter Sarah 26,Elizabeth 5,in Howard Kent Ontario
Few trees has Johns parent's as Francis Johnston born 1807 Fermanagh and Sarah Chittick born Ireland ....In one of the census forms he has a son Francis not having much luck finding a marriage for this couple

Marriage records for SW Ontario prior to 1870 are few and far between. I have drawn a blank with some of Sarah's siblings.
