Hi,

There are a few records for William Henry Gell which seem to indicate he may of been born on the Isle Of Man, so not 100% certain this is the same chap.  But there is a passport application for a William Henry Gell born England 22 May 1865 - Father John Gell (deceased) Had been in the USA from 22 April 1911 - 1923. Naturalized citizen Cleveland Cuyahoga Ohio  - 4 oct 1917. Occupation:- Engineer.  Wanted the passport to visit relatives in England, leaving on the Cedric July 28th 1923.
Address in Ohio:- 2245 East 103 rd Street. Cleveland Ohio.

Thank you- probably grasping at straws with this one. Edwin's brothers daughter died  in 191 and he William  disappeared after that, as did the girls mother - just thought they might have left the country to start again. Thanks for your time

Unfortunately found more info - an obit and family tree for the William Henry Gell in reply 1 which help discount him  - he was born on the Isle Of Man.
Died 7 Dec 1949 Cleveland Ohio.

William H Gell beloved husband of the late Catherine S., father of George F. R. William, Stanley C. Donald F. grandfather and great-grandfather -  at his residence, 12404 Woodside Ave., Dec. 7, Friends may call at the Wm. Abel & Sons Co.
