HEANEY family of Renton, Dunbartonshire

I need some help please.....

I've traced my ancestors back to Hugh Heaney (1854 - 1936)and Mary Ann Heaney (born Mulholland 1861 - 1896) and am noe trying to detail their children.....

Th list I have is Archibald, Hugh(1888) Letitia (1891) Alex, Sarah (1889) Elizabeth (1895) Mary (1893) Martha (1887) and then finally edward (1899)

can anyone help shed any light around Archibald or Alex and also does anyone have any death dates of the children or any other info which might help me?

Hi ,

If Mary Ann Heaney/Mulholland died in 1896 then she can't be the mother of Edward born 1899.

Looking at the Census transcriptions Alex(ander) seems to have been born 1884/85 Glasgow.
Can't see an Archibald in 1891 or 1901

Hi ,

If Mary Ann Heaney/Mulholland died in 1896 then she can't be the mother of Edward born 1899.

Edward's mother was a Mary Callaghan, Edward was Registered as Edward Heaney but name changed to Callaghan in Reg Corr entries.

 Amended-  Marginal note wasn't clear -RCE reads  'for Edward substitute Edward Callaghan'   Surname remains Heaney!

Birth cert says that they married June 1896, Dumbarton -
SP shows a marriage in 1897 for Hugh Heaney and Mary Kellochan, Dumbarton

Hugh is a widower on the 1901.
