Looking for help locating the marriage of Edward Riley and Abagail/Abigail both born 1825 in Ballanamallard, Derbyshire had 4 children Elizabeth 1856, George Robert 1860, William 1854, Mary 1852.

Hi on the 1861 for the family they also have a son Abel aged 12 b Ballanamallard, at Harvest Lane, Brightside Bierlow, Sheffield Census Ref RG09/3496/92/32 is this them in 1851?

PS the only Ballanamallard I could locate was in Northern Ireland? Looking at the original of the 1861 Census it is Hullandward !

Yes I had Abel down but missed him off my list.

I have looked at that 1851 census before, but Edwin threw me off it so not to sure.

The baptism records seem to fit but the mother is Elizabeth rather than Abagail so im confused!!

Hi again, I wonder if indeed Edward was "living" with an Abigail and their had been some form of marriage breakdown between Edward and Elizabeth, or had he died by 1867, as their is this feasible 1871/81 census?

I suppose they could also have lived together as man and wife without being married also.

I was looking more at Abel this afternoon he seems to dissapear on the 1881 census, any ideas why that would be?

Hi again, in 1881 RG11/3423/90/8 he is ABLE Riley 30 b Hulland with wife Eliza and children in Ashborne in 1891 he is aged 40 occ Gas Stoker b Hubland? with family in Eccleshall Bierlow Census Ref RG12/3802/20/4
