Samuel Baldwin (Balding &c) late 16c, early 17c - possibly Hempnall
« on: Wednesday 20 August 14 17:41 BST (UK) »
John (1736), William (1739) and Samuel (1741) Baldwin were sons of Samuel and Martha née Baker, m.1736 - all in Hempnall.

I'm looking for details on the older Samuel Baldwin or Balding or variant,(prob. b. 1701, if he's the Samuel Baldwin who died in Hempnall in 1790, aged 89). Where was he born, or christened?

Also, Samuel (1701) was a widower on his marriage to Martha in 1736. Any details of his earlier marriage?

Finally, Sarah Baker, "base" daughter of Martha Baker, was christened in 1734; Samuel Baldwin (the father or the son?) was a witness at her wedding in 1759 to John Palgrave. Any confirmation that Samuel (1701) was her father?

Thanks.
