Everleigh/Everley
« on: Thursday 24 July 14 20:45 BST (UK) »
I hope someone can help me. I'm trying to find the baptism of Emma Everley and her parents names. Emma was born at Bath Somerset in 1813 according to the 1851 Census. I'm not not sure which parish she would have be baptised at but I don't think if would have been Catholic. I look forward to any help.

Is she the Emma Everley who was a housekeeper in Wiltshire? If she was, then her 1883 death certificate may give her parents names. She also left a will, as probate was granted in November 1883, so getting hold of that would be interesting.

In 1851 she is a visitor with Sarah Walker in Oldbury on the Hill, Gloucestershire.
In 1841, Sarah Walker is accompanied by an Emma Walker, aged 29.
There is a fair chance that she is the same Emma.

Unfortunately there is no sigh of either Emma Everley or Emma Walker baptised in Bath at the right time.

I'm trying to find Emma's relationship to a Richard Washbourn who was living and died at Oldbury on the Hill, Gloucestershire. I'm wondering if Emma may have been his illegitimate daughter. Richard also had a son William Everley Washbourn born 1918 and of cause Emma born 1813 seems very close in age. Emma is called aunt but not sure if she really was. No one know William's mother's name either she could have been a sister to Emma Everley hence the name Everley!
