Photos of Elijah Ribbans b.1823 & son Robert b.1856 Tuddenham, Suffolk

Hi all "Ribbans" families.

This is a long shot I know but I wonder if any family members have photographs of either Elijah Ribbans or his son Robert.
Elijah was an Agr. Labr in and around Tuddenham and died in 1897.
 
Robert  became a Master Blacksmith, again in Tuddenham and died in Ipswich in 1927

Elijah married Susannah Peggs in 1849 and Robert married Mary Ann Spaull in 1878

These were my gg. grandfather and g.grandfathers' and I have never seen any pics of them and only have a couple of my grandfather (son of Robert)

This would be a wonderful way of showing some ancestors on my tree.

Hi Pat,

I was forgetting that there are two Tuddenhams - St.Martin & St. Mary.

Elijah and Robert were both  born in Tuddenham St.Martin.

Elijah worked as an agri. labourer in that area (later on Lacey's farm)  whilst Robert became a blacksmith  and as far as I can tell worked his business in Debenham where he married and  raised his family.
My grandfather William (son of Robert) died in 1927 when my father was only about 13 years of age. My father was an only child and didn't relay on any family info. to us kids.

As an equally long shot, I have an Elizabeth Sophia Ribbans, born 1866 Ipswich, died 1952 Bedford, married George Edward Gibbons 1897.  Any connection?

Hi Robert,

I don't have an Elizabeth Sophia Ribbans in my tree. Having said that,  in  my searches
I have at times, come across a "Sophia" Ribbans but in what tree I can't remember.

PS. meant to say - where does Sophia fit in your tree. I suspect she may have been the d/o a child
eventually coming from James Ribbans & Bathsheba.

Hi.
 I know it might be a long shot but I have a CHARLES RIBBANS who married my GGG Aunt SARAH ROZIER in 1842. As far as I know they had 6 children, EDWIN, ROSAM, WILLIAM, SARAH, FRANCES and CAROLINE.
  The ROZIER's are my maternal ancestors, Just wondered if there was any connection.

Hi Baloo,

Nice to "meet" another Ribbans line. Unfortunately I don't have a Charles who married Sarah Rozier in 1842 in my tree.

He could have been a son of anyone of the Ribbans' I have,  but have not picked up on yet.

Do you know who his parents were?

 Sorry can't help with parents. The only  info I have he was b1821,d1882, married 27/11/1842, don't know where.
