Unknown WW1 Regiment
« on: Wednesday 17 September 14 17:27 BST (UK) »

Sorry about the quality of the pic it is all I have to go on at the moment until I scan the original which will be a matter of months in time.
This photo has been passed down in my family and no one knows who is in it or anything about it, just what side it came from. We did believe it could be a Pte. John William Gadsby; b. 1884, Lincolnshire; d. Oct 9 1917 Belgium; 307666; West Yorks Reg.
but I have looked at the cap badge and they didn't match. Did they change? or is it possible he moved regiments?

Good evening,

I can't see a scroll under the star so I think probably the Army Service Corp.
