Death of Army Wife

 Mary Ann Currie, nee Munro sometimes called Ann was the wife of Sgt William Currie of 78th Foot , both were from Scotland, their last child born in June 1824, then William discharged in 1826 goes back to Scotland and remarries in 1827, did Mary Ann die in Carlow, can not find death in Scotland.

Please can anyone help

Unfortunately the dates you are looking for are about 40 years before the start of civil records, so you would have to try searching to see if church records of death / burials are available for the parish your Currie family lived, or maybe headstone inscriptions if there was one.

was the child born to them in 1824 John ?

If so the parish for his baptism is Carlow town, Church of Ireland parish, and the record is here on the IrishGenealogy website

The town is partly in neighbouring Co. Laois, formerly Queen's county.

There are some burials listed on the same website for the parish, but no sign of a Mary Ann, or Anne Currie or Curry. (the burials are listed in the same register as the baptisms)

Looking at details from William Currie Army records,
1825, Dublin , Claire Castle , Limerick , Boyhal  and Fermoy.

1826 Fermoy to Cork , have no idea where or when Ann died.
