Great find Monica,

Thought about FreeCEN late last night and checked this morning and found Murdo McIver & family living in Breasclet

Hi Jimmac

Here's the link so you can view Murdo McIver & Neil McArthur & family in Breasclet
on 1841 census

http://freecen.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

This is a small snippet of info. from the link Monica posted - have a read

Finlay McIver married 06/04/1855 Uig
Ann McArthur parents Neil McArthur married Mary SMITH 9/03/1836 Uig

Here's the link to IGI familysearch so you can view the marriage details and the christenings of some children born to Finlay McIver & Ann, these are all extracted records

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp

Hope this proves to be helpful and is the family you are looking for - let us know  :)

Just a thought if you are looking for details when the MCIVER's emigrated to Australia it may be worth you putting a request on the Australia board I'm sure someone will be able to offer help  :)

Hi Jim

Great news that this is your family and even better that mariac has more information about them

If you want to send mariac or anyone a PM (personal meassage) on Rootschat - see the link below for more detail

'New members must make at least three postings before being allowed to use the PM facility'

If you are sending PMs to new members who have less than three posts you will receive an error message, that your limit, or allowed number has been reached. (note that it says your limit, although it actually refers to the recipient)

Good luck  :)
